| Note | LOTTIIDAE - Lottia mesoleuca (Menke, 1851). THE STRONGEST DARK GREEN SPECIAL COLOR FORM WOOOOW!! The shell shows excellent strong green pristine coloration with a tiny brown ring color all around the lip. The ventral side shows a striking gloss bluish-green turquoise fresh colors. Rare to get so green colors as this one here. Light usual dorsal erosion coming as always for this rough species F+++-F++. This is the highest selected and seldom seen conditions you can get for the species with extremely strong and vivid green-bluish colors. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds attached to the smooth stones, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. North Playa La Calechosa, Bahia de Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. March 2026. Value for this special vivid dark green colors on top and green-bluish turquoise in the ventral side : 24-28 euro.
