A superb ULTRA-LARGE specimen of the New South Wales form. Rich, substrate-influenced colour, typical of examples from this locality. Exemplary quality for the species, size, and collection method. Fully mature, recurved apertural lip. Relatively solid and heavy for the species. NOTE: This large shell requires a very large parcel for adequate protection, but I will round down postage to anywhere in the world to 45 EUR. Please factor this cost when bidding. Data: Off Eden, New South Wales, Australia; upon mud/sand/detritus substrate; 100-140 m; trawled; 1987. Size: c.257 mm. Grading: Gem. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
