| Size | 48.2 mm |

| Note | An OUTSTANDING large specimen of this delicate, endemic, deep-water, north-eastern Australian species. Exemplary quality, with particularly well-preserved ultra-delicate siphonal canal, usually damaged during the trawling process. Typical minor loss to ultra-delicate columellar shield. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls – never collected since – and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Definitely for the Cassidae specialist requiring a first-rate example of this elusive deep-water species. Data: Off Cape Moreton, Queensland, Australia; upon sand substrate; 120-220 m; trawled; 1982. Size: 48.2 mm. Grading: Fine++++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne. |
