| Note | A MAGNIFICENT large specimen of a RARE FORM of this already rare variety of this endemic South-Western Australian form, in which the spiral band at the mid point of the whorl becomes fragmented in its later stage upon the body whorl. Markedly slender, elongate form. An exquisite specimen for the advanced Volutidae specialist. Data: Off Albany, Western Australia, Australia; upon sand substrate, amongst ribbon weed, at night; 26 m; dived; 2004. Size: 95.7 mm. Grading: Fine+++ (one tiny loss to apertural lip).
