NoteA large and EXCEPTIONAL specimen of this exquisite, seldom offered endemic Australian species, exhibiting beautiful colour, and a supremely well-formed pattern. Characteristic fine spiral channel at mid point of whorl, and pure white, noded columellar cord. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls – never collected since – and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Data: Off Sandy Cape, Fraser Island, Wide Bay-Burnett Region, Queensland, Australia; upon coarse coral sand/rubble substrate; 22 m; dredged; 1982. Size: 46.4 mm (longest dimension). Grading: Fine++; w/o. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
