| Note | The Cypraeidae specialist will be aware of the difficulty in obtaining an example of this species with a well-formed pattern of aesthstic merit. The current large specimen exhibits such a pattern – somewhat broderipi-like in its design – incorporating a wide, true mantle line. Exceptional quality – PERFECTION. The specimen was formerly in the renowned Vandenberg collection, and the original 1980s Vandenberg label accompanies the specimen. A nivosa for the connoisseur. Data: Andaman Sea, region between Koh Racha Islands, Thailand, and Mergui Archipelago, Myanmar; upon sand/silt substrate; 80-120 m; trawled; 1994. Size: 49 mm. Grading: Gem.
