| Note | Gorgeous rare golden specimen with a bright dorsal merigold maculae highlighted by thick nacre gloss caressing the ivory/cream white primary body color. The shell displays, modest body inflation, thick margins with modest tuberculation of the thick rounded margins. The aurata shows a perfect sparkling pastel apricot porcelain white base, cantaloupe bronze pigmented extremities with moderate lateral wall spotting on both walls. A signature and classic Zoila subspecies from the deep water. Captured by ROV at 100-105 meters resting in a sponge garden west of Bernier Island, Carnarvon, Western Australia in 2019. The shell displays a shallow vertical crease on the posterior ramp and a micro repair in the posterior columellar channel tip, not visible in images. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
