| Note | Exceptionally thick margins and a mature, hyper-glazed specimen from the black Edithburgh population. The specimen is accentuated by a dorsal black /chocolate brown color veil. The atrata displays remarkable symmetrical form and balance. Moderate weight/size ratio with a beautiful base pattern (53.9. grams). The specimen displays perfect siphons, base and hyper-black lateral walls and an impressive display of spotting on the mid-columellar margin and wall. The specimen was nabbed by Scuba diver at 12-15 meters sitting on a red sponge in sand/rubble substrate off Edithburgh, South Australia in the 90s.The specimen displays subtle minor short growth fold and flecks on the anterior ramp. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
