| Note | Lovely specimen with a sparkling nacre, strong orange color band perfectly framing the deltoidal and modestly depressed body. The shell exhibits a unique fine and dense complex dorsal pattern forming the dorsal blotch. The shell shows moderate rostration and inflation. The shell has a small lump (convexity) on the lateral wall/columellar margin not considered a flaw, but an anatomical variation in the specimen. Trapped by tangle net at 120 meters off Balut Island, Mindanao, Philippines in 10/2013. The specimen shows no visible defects. Grade: GEM. |
