| Note | For the collector of Murex who has almost everything. Large rhomboid rare semi-albinistic specimen with a superb mix of black-dashed axial cords, antique and eggshell white body whorl color and jet black radiating erect structures complemented by incurved rami on all the varices. Solid shell for its size (28.2 grams) with excellent symmetrical form. The shell presents with a pastel pink/china white aperture lip. Taken by Scuba diver at 10-12 meters off Mactan Island, Cebu, Philippines in the 80s. The shell presents with modest erosion of the apex and a small chip on the columellar posterior siphon canal edge. Grade: F++/F+++. |
