| Note | Remarkable and superb example of this North Pacific cold-water subspecies. The specimen presents with intact protoconch, spire and siphonal canal. Beautiful banding pattern as shown in the images with elegant form and fluting with notable back-turning of the varices. Collected by Scuba diver at 12-15 meters while feeding on a oyster bed at Posiet Bay, south of Vladivostok, Russia, Sea of Japan. The specimen has intact protoconch, spire, aperture lips and siphonal canal. However, some attrition of the dorsal and columellar varices is present. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
