| Note | Light weight, moderate to excellent gloss, low biconical shell with a moderately high spire. The body whorl displays a primary white color tone with wavy deep chocolate brown axial flammules which are continuous from the shoulder and broken vaguely into three bands. The Baja classic presents with a perfect spire, white hued aperture and flawless natural lip. The shell was collected by local shrimp fisherman on sand at 80-100 meters as bycatch off San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico in 1990. The cone has growth fold interruptions on the dorsum and toward the lip, a smaller short fold towards the columellar lateral wall. Grade: F++/F+++. |
