| Note | Exceptional representative of this desirable Western Pacific species. These specimens are usually plagued with multiple defects and occasionally one emerges that passes for collectable status. The shell shows a strongly nodulated spire, pitch black body whorl pigmentation with three white condensed flammule patterned bands of notable aesthetics highlighting the beauty. The specimen was collected by compressor diver at 15-20 meters on sand/rubble substrate off Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia in 11/2023. The shells minor palpable roughness of the anterior lip, erosion of the apex and faint color lines (not folds or creases) mid-ventral and mid-dorsal on the body whorl. Grade: F+++. |
