NoteLarge, inflated and hyper-calloused member of this striking Hawaiian species. Brilliant color, thick nacre and superb reticulated pattern. Heavy shell, with thick calloused margins with tubercules and beautiful dark spotting extending over the margins and peripheral base. A solid shell with a strong weight/size ratio (72.0 grams).The maculifera shows perfect extremities, base and aperture. Harvested off Kaena Point. Oahu, Hawaii on night dive under a ledge at 8-10 meters in 2022. There is evident a negligible growth crease on the labral anterior ramp. Grade: GEM minus.
