| Name | Cribrarula cribraria - Elegant rostration! , (Linnaeus, 1758) |
| Size | 24,23 mm |

| Note | A Niger specimen with superb rostration; melanism has covered the white margins, commonly called the "socks," giving the shell a very elegant appearance, like a woman wearing fishnet stockings. Dive collected at N'Go Bay, south of New Caledonia. The slight inclusion visible under the base is typical for this species, which grows in the bottom of bays where the mud is thin and red in color, and is not considered a defect. Gem quality. For American customers, I can send your packages via Australian Post starting May 18, 2026, for a cost of €40. The New Caledonia postal service has temporarily suspended its shipments to the USA. |
