NoteUNIQUE SPECIAL COLUMELLAR LIP WOOOOOOW!! Look at this incredible colossal aperture with superb thick lip and unusual curved irregular thick columellar lip. Definitely to be displayed on the ventral side with this exquisite elegance. Lovely spotted spiral banding patter around the spire and around the body. Really nice sculpture. This species are really hard to get and usually they are really buried exposing only a small part of the back on the surface creating some light erosion most of the time on the top. This beauty has some micro natural details like growth marks as usual for this large sizes, not really harming the beauty of this uncommon species. F+++. The ventral side is just stunning and the lip wall is fully colored with cream and light cream color form. Super thick and Wide lip with the best long incredible denticles and undulated form, amazing teeth in all lip. The most exquisite unique wide aperture WOOOOW!! For advancer collectors and lovers of this fantastic Family. One of my Favorite big shells in the pacific with so unique form and sculpture compare with all Tonas species and the biggest of the Maleas species. They are most night active , They are rarely hunting during the day. Hart to find in the day because they are most complete buried. Found buried in sand between huge platforms stones about 10m deep. La Calechosa, Bahia de Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. January 2026. Value for this extraordinary beauty with a unusual columellar lip and amazing aperture: 90-100 euros.
