| Note | On offer is a specimen of M. teramachii from a uniquely rare location off Western Australia. Trawled in 380M off Rowley Shoal. Although dead taken, it is entirely intact with ornamental scalely spiral cords of filamental fine spines. The scientific and Japanese name for this species are connected to Akibumi Teramachi. He was a painter in Kyoto, Japan and lived near the sea for medical treatment. He rented a house near the fishing port and collected shells in the Tosa Bay and was famous for his activities. |
