NoteGagatis is a new form of rosselli described by Felix Lorenz and Marco Chiapponni. The description was published late in 2024 in Molluscan Science Volume 6. In the area west of the Southern Zuytdorp Cliffs and to the east of Big Bank is a populated by dwarf rosselli and ketyana. This is northwest of Kalbarri. This form of rosselli we find in the same area as we collect praeclara off the southern Zuytdorp Cliffs.  They are consistently very small with narrow dorsal windows. This particular specimen is nearly all black with a very small dorsal window. ROV collected from purple globe sponge in 78 meters of water west of the Southern Zuytdorp Cliffs during August 2024. Unfortunate to have nacre windowing to dorsum and base with tiny chips to both siphons. A good representation of a new shell at a bargain price!
