NoteThis auction we will be offering a wide variety of Z. marginata consueta, all of which have come from our private collection. These specimens show the incredible subtle differences that this species has to offer! This specimen has an ULTRA DARK, MELANISTIC PATTERN which is EXTREMELY RARE. The UNIFORM DARK DORSUM speaks for itself and along with the slightly-ROSTRATED base/margins of the shell it makes for a highly desirable specimen! F++ with a reglazed chip on the posterior canal and some minor inclusions on the dorsum which has caused this shell to become such an impressive colour! Found by top gun diver Jack Daly on a large white Geodia sp.B sponge from the underside of a massive limestone ledge at 12m. South of Carnac Island, W.A. April 2025
