| Note | A classic BLACK and BLUE shell from the shallow waters of Geographe Bay. A stunning shell which has a strong showing of the blue embryonic banding underneath the DARK BLOTCHES which are spread over the majority of this shell. Gem/Gem- with maybe very minor issue on the dorsum but most would still call it Gem. Found by Jon Daly at the end of a frustrating dive of which this was the only specimen kept after a number of hours of searching the limestone reefs off Capel. On a small red paddle sponge on the side of a limestone boulder at 8m. Off Capel Beach, Geographe Bay, W.A. March 2026 |
