A magnificent superglobose shell, distinguished by an extraordinarily broad aperture in proportion to its body whorl. The shell is entirely devoid of periostracum, allowing its remarkable natural coloration to be fully appreciated. The aperture is notably expanded and bordered by a thick beige outer lip, while much of the shell surface displays an exceptionally attractive violet and brown pigmentation. Collected by local inhabitants in January 2026 from the leaf litter of a humid Andean forest in the Department of Santander, Colombia, at an elevation of 1,550 meters above sea level. The ongoing deforestation and logging of forests throughout the Colombian Andes have made specimens of this quality increasingly difficult to obtain, significantly enhancing their desirability and value among collectors in the international malacological market.
