| Note | Endemic to the Colombian Andes, a region where vast expanses of the original humid and cloud forests have unfortunately disappeared, making shells of this quality increasingly scarce and highly coveted by advanced collectors worldwide. This remarkable specimen is readily distinguished by its striking inferior band, elegantly ornamented with alternating black and white coloration, as well as by its thick black outer lip, which gradually fades into an exquisite violet hue. The apex is slightly chipped, and the shell exhibits a growth line on the dorsal surface together with a naturally repaired impact scar on the fifth whorl. These minor features in no way detract from its outstanding aesthetic appeal or collectible value; rather, they provide subtle evidence of the specimen’s authenticity, resilience, and natural history in its native environment.
