| Note | Punta del Confital, La Mareta, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Volcanic cave habitat at 9–14 m depth, approximately 700 m offshore from the beach near the local surf point break. Collected by a local apnea diver 6.2025. Dark red specimen with well-developed shell morphology. Shell margins, auricles, hinge structures, and marginal crenulations intact, with no visible fractures, chips, repairs, or damage. Exterior with deep reddish colouration, contrasting cream to yellowish radial zones, and well-preserved radial sculpture throughout. Interior surfaces clean and lustrous, retaining natural nacreous reflections. Rare dark colour in gem quality condition. |
