An attractive and highly atypical specimen, exhibiting a morphology that is unusual for this genus and exceptionally difficult to encounter. The shell displays a strongly developed basal keel on the last whorl, a rarely observed feature that immediately distinguishes it from typical representatives of the species. The body whorl is beige with delicate pinkish tones, while the aperture exhibits a distinct pink coloration, creating a refined and highly appealing visual contrast. The peristome is slightly chipped, a minor imperfection that does not detract from the specimen’s remarkable overall appearance. On the contrary, the shell remains exceptionally fresh, having been recently collected from leaf litter in the high Andean forests at an impressive elevation of 3,100 meters above sea level in March 2026. High-altitude specimens displaying such unusual morphological characteristics are seldom offered on the international market.
