Impeccable and intact spines all around with extreme long curved form, for all in the shoulder side. This spiny form Hexaplex princeps are really hard to get diving and with good conditions after clean. Extraordinary shoulder spines with super spire and intact apex. Magnificent brown color form between the white background and superb black elegant banding. Wide branched shoulder spines effect. F+++-Gem. Top aesthetics! This is one of the most common large species of Muricidae in the Mexican Pacific and is widely used as seafood in restaurants. Although open sea Hexaplex princeps are generally 99.9% completely ugly with classic dense erosion, missing spines all around, dense drill holes, no coloration or pattern, and thick calcareous organisms attached all around them almost impossible to remove, that is the common Hexaplex princeps. However, on very rare occasions and in very enclosed bays or lagoon mouths that are open to the sea, there are individuals with great condition, but finding them is always a mystery and really hard. With my years of experience and luck, I know of some places where they sometimes appear in ideal and striking conditions. Here I present that unique and unusual selection.
