| Note | TEGULIDAE Tegula ligulata mariamadrae (Pilsbry, H.A. & H.N. Lowe, 1932). FORMIDABLE EXTREME RARE SPECIES!!! Very rare GIANT size with 13.5mm High x 16mm wide. Holotype was found at the Tres Marías Islands, Pacific Mexico. Received the name after its discovery with the name of the Island Maria Madre. (Tegula ligulata mariamadre). This specimen looks very similar and more far to be Tegula mariana. Note that Tegula mariana has a green color in the base area and other kind of sculpture. I found it inside dead corals most in a couple. For Trochidae experts. Exceptional opportunity to get the most rarity Tegula endemic from Mexico. Awesome pattern with the best fresh colors and original operculum. Undulated unique structure and fresh vivid colors. Exceptional high quality for the size. Tiny microscopic natural imperfections not detracting the beauty. Rare opportunity to get this special rare species. F+++. Found attached under big dead coral platform about 6m deep.
