| Note | One nice specimen of the largest Muricidae found in Chile, the endemic Concholepas concholepas.This species is only found in Chile and Perú, and its collection is currently banned as this species is under heavy extraction. This is a very large specimen, difficult to find nowadays in this size, and it is very interesting as it has a pale orange interior of the shell with some nice pinkish hues, it has no chips in the border and it has a lightly cleaned dorsum, which can be cleaned to perfection with some patience. It preserves its large original operculum, which is often discarded. |
