Interesting specimen of Labyrinthus annuliferus, collected by local inhabitants from the leaf litter of the Colombian Pacific tropical rainforest in 2008. This long-preserved example retains strong collector appeal and represents a noteworthy opportunity to obtain material from one of Colombia’s most biodiverse regions. The shell exhibits a perforation on the first whorl and two additional perforations on the ventral side, all clearly visible in the accompanying image. These imperfections in no way detract from the specimen’s aesthetic qualities, scientific value, or rarity. A unique opportunity to acquire a classic species originating from an area of extraordinary biodiversity that is increasingly affected by ongoing environmental change. Specimens of this species from historical collections are becoming progressively more difficult to obtain.
