NoteA superb specimen of this VERY RARE, almost never offered, extreme deep-water subspecies, from the ‘old days’ of deep-water Floridian dredging. Exquisite external surface sculpture – spiral bands of raised beads. Now obtainable only from choice old collections. Family: Calliostomatidae. Data: Off Bahia Honda Key, Florida Keys, Florida, USA; upon sand/silt substrate; 300-400 m; dredged; 1980. Size: 26.4 mm. Grading: Fine++ (minor natural marks). Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
