NoteGari solida is a rather large white clam of the family Psammobiidae, which is a edible species but rather uncommon as it lives buried deep in sand and it is not found easily. This is a very nice specimen, with good solid valves and still with the ligament attaching both valves. A small price for a rather large clam from the southeastern Pacific.
