An OUTSTANDING ULTRA-LARGE specimen of this RECENTLY DESCRIBED, deep-water, endemic Queensland species, of exemplary quality for the species, and collection method, incorporating an exceptional level of preservation of the ultra-delicate columellar shield, almost always damaged during life, or the trawling process – very important for the connoisseur. A product of the legendary 1980s Queensland trawls – never collected since – and now obtainable only from choice old collections. Data: Capricorn Channel, Queensland, Australia; upon fine-grained sediment substrate; 80-100 m; trawled; 1983. Size: 66.6 mm. Grading: Fine+++. Provenance: JES Collection; London / Melbourne.
