GIANT SELDOM SEEN SIZE AND REALLY FRESH!! Specimens over 50mm are large and seldom seen nowadays, this here is impressive large 58mm with fresh conditions, and colors. The dorsal shows a truly extra dense exclusive nodules with unique effect. Dark brown large spots around the dorsum combined with lovely pattern and multiple spots between white, brown and grey. Thick colossal lip with elegant white elongated denticles in the inside outer lip combined with fresh Orange color form, the parietal wall colors are between white and cream Orange, some kid of erosion near the posterior side of the parietal wall as you can see in pictures. Lip, siphon and apex complete, except for the natural tiny imperfections , like erosion and micro chips not really harming this species. Rough species living between strong currents and Giant waves. F+++-F++. Seldom seen original operculum. Uncommon species in Mexico!!! Hard to get in any conditions, Rarely offered with original operculum, hard to find between the animal. Fascinating animals with extreme colors and visibly dangerous. But they are not! The animal is very large and can crawl very fast. They usually hunt at night and are rarely found active during the day. They live in the intertidal zone from 1m to 15m in rare cases. They usually feed on sea urchins in the intertidal zone. For Cassidae lovers. Found buried between cracks with granulate sand in big stones-islets about 5m deep. Near Roca el Toro, Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. July 2026.
