Striking wonderful masterpiece with the most possible finest conditions you can get for the species combined with the most dense elongated fragile wide scales all around with elegant brown-green coloration and concentric curved sculpture banding. Impeccable beauty, for advancer collectors. PTERIIDAE - Pinctada mazatlanica (Hanley, 1856) Hard to get with intact conditions and with awesome scales. The ventral side valves are prestige with hyper gloss pearly silver, green, golden and bluish colors. This species by the time can have some cracks or the detachment of some scales, this is normal for this kind of bivalves. Found attached to the bottom between stones with brown algae and mud between 6m and 8m deep. Barra de Navidad, Jalisco, Mexico. June 2026.
