TRULY EXTREMELY RARE SPECIES FOR THE PANAMIC PROVINCE!! A few worldwide in private collections. There is no much real pictures virtually, this one here has the original operculum inside the shell, hard to remove. There is a hole exactly found live with this, believe me. Not dead found. Thick massive lip and intact spire-apex. There is dark blue color inside the aperture maybe from the animal. This is the second I have found in my entire career looking for shells. Once in a lifetime opportunity. The only one to offer. Hard to add the grade, without the hole this will be Gem. See pictures. Three months ago, I placed a sack full of dead scallops with multiple holes in it at a depth of 10 meters, and when I pulled it out, I found small species—some common, some uncommon, and some very rare like this one here. It was a great experiment and a big surprise to find such tiny and varied species. For advancer collectors and specialists in this Epitoniidae Family. Found inside dead oyster about 10m deep between muddy stones. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. June 2026.
