| Note | Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. Recovered alive from shell debris at the inlet of a desalination plant, 2024 (l/c). Exceptionally large and remarkably inflated specimen, measuring approximately 20 mm in thickness. Among the largest Bractechlamys corallinoides specimens from Tenerife encountered in the IMS reference collection, and the last currently available in this size class. Exterior with strongly developed nodulose radial plicae and attractive yellow, pink, and reddish-brown colouration. Minor tube-worm attachment and a few small borings on one valve; otherwise without visible damage. Ligament absent. |
