| Note | A rare collectable specimen in any condition. The shell is impressive, with bright shades of sandstone, tangerine and tiger orange embrassing the eggshell white dosum with faded misty brown banding. Remarkable shape, symmetry and flaring of the both margins. The specimen is truly a beautiful white top "Goldie." The specimen was plucked by ROV at 138 meters from a sponge spouting from sandy/silty substrate.The shell was collected approximately 50 miles southeast of Augusta, on the southwest coast of Western Australia on 3/2018. The raywalkeri exhibits a micro self-repaired nacre chip on the labral anterior extremity tip and areas of tiny flush mini blisters (delaminations) on the posterior columellar base and some limited areas of the dorsum above the labral mid-margin only seen under high magnification. Conservative Grade: F++/F+++. |
