| Note | A real and unique South Seas collectable. The incredible specimen features symmetrical morphology and a fantastic display of gracefully curved, elongated and wide-spread delicate array of rarely seen, if ever, eight spines. The shell demonstrates an intact protoconch, spines, spire and strongly pigmented pumpkin orange-hued aperture. Excellent peach/beige dorsal body whorl pattern. Collected by Scuba diver Xavier Curvat on small rocks and rubble at 10-12 meters off Hacotupa, Collette Bay, Nuku Hiva, Marquesas, Central Pacific in 1/2013. Insignificant blemishes and a minor growth lines on the dorsal and ventral body whorl, The specimen comes with the original operculum. NOTE: An additional 25 Euro will be added to the shipping cost, as it will be protected and shipped in its own Pelican-type case. Grade: F+++/GEM. |
