| Note | Brilliantly patterned specimen with rich color transitional hues, classic large peachy hued lateral wall/marginal spotting, superb form with the wide insulata form with a super deep sparkling glassy nacre. Super shape with moderate inflation and an intriguing wide and interestingly blended dorsal line. This shell demonstrates a beautiful array of transverse lines dorsally. The specimen also shows mild marginal tuberculation and an impressive glossy base. This shell is a standout visually. Lifted off a sponge reef by Scuba diver at 6-8 meters while perched and grazing on sponges surrounded by seagrass off Mason Bay, Western Australia in 2020. The shell has a soft short palpable wobble on the mid-columellar lateral wall and a mild mini algae patch on the anterior ramp. Grade: F+++. |
