Note
Super dark dorsal pigmentation highlighted by thick calloused margins with solid extremities underscore this collectable specimen. The shell shows strong nacre gloss with no nacre breaks, heavy weight/size ratio, modestly spotted lateral walls, bluish pigmented margins, intact extremities and flawless aperture teeth (96.3 grams). Harvested by free diver in shallow water (1-2 meters) off Pointe des Almadies, Dakar, Senegal, West Africa in 2018. The Trona displays subnacre nacre delaminations on the labral and columellar lateral walls including two areas on the base with subtle wobbles on the anterior ramp. Grade: F++/F+++.
