| Note | Strongly-glazed, symmetrically balanced, with a wondrous dark dorsal blotch resembling a "kneeling bull" characterize this moderately rostrated hard to get example of Austrasiatica. This beauty exhibits moderate inflation, flawless extremities and a thick, glossy nacre,. The ivory tan background shows two mild/fine transverse bands patterns highlighting the columellar dorsum lateral wall and posterior ramp. Perfect extremities, dorsum, and ivory colored base. Trawled off Taiwan in the East China Sea at 120-160 meters in 5/2012. The specimen has slight short palpable wobble present on the labral dorsum and mild concavity on the shallow mid-labral base. Grade: F++/F+++. |
