A strongly aesthetic, hyper-pigmented and remarkable example of this colorful subspecies with a lovely pattern and a desirable dorsal blotched maculae based pattern. Super-glazed, moderate weight/size ratio and perfect extremities, base and margins. The shell shows an emerging blue hues below the dorsal blotch. Taken by Scuba diver at 12-14 meters in a reef cave sitting on a yellow-green sponge in 1/2012 on the north side of Carnac Island, Western Australia. EX: H. Kurtoglu Collection. The specimen shows some subtle blemishes on the dorsum. The white glazed dimples on the margins and base are not considered defects. Grade: GEM minus.
