| Note | Rare subspecies with excellent nacre gleam, perfect thick rounded extremities and a perfect base. The shell shows a unique eggshell white base fringed in misty apricot pigmentation and intense shades of beige/nude dorsally with cream beige lateral walls. A morphologically distinctive specimen. Taken by Scuba diver at Tim's Thicket, south of Dorre Cut, Mandurah, Western Australia at 8 meters on rock reef with grey and lavender seaweed and limited sponges. Collected in 1990. The specimen exhibts a glazed growth fold with a shallow extended depression on the labral lateral wall and a soft fold on the mid-anterior ramp. EX: Marty Beals. Grade: F++/F+++. |
