| Note | Strong color and excellent nacre shine complement this rare rhomboidal shaped mid-Atlantic species.The shell has perfect extremities and base with two lavender hued bands on the dorsum and brown/nude margins. A matched pair of black spots characterize both extremities, highlighted by the tangerine/cantaloupe extremity siphons. A very collectable and distinctive specimen. The shell was collected at 8-12 meters by Scuba Diver Joe Rodriques under rocks in English Bay, Ascension Island, mid-south Atlantic Ocean. The shell has perfect extremities, Base and aperture teeth. The specimen exhibits glazed/nacred growth lines on the columellar ramp and lateral wall. Grade: F+++. |
