| Note | Rare specimen of the intermediate form approaching jeaniana jeaniana patterning. The specimen features bright dorsal buff/bronze brown maculae interspersed with subdued lavender blotching on the dorsum. The shell is highlighted by thick nacre gloss caressing the ivory/cream white primary body color. The shell displays strong body inflation, thick margins with modest tuberculation of the thick rounded apricot pigmented margins. The aurata shows a perfect sparkling pastel bronze/copper brown porcelain base, merigold/sandstone orange pigmented extremities and remarkable moderate spotting on both lateral walls. A signature and unusual Zoila subspecies from the deep water. Captured by Taiwan trawlers at 100 plus meters the northern area of Western Australia in 1979. The shell displays a shallow vertical crease on the labral lateral wall, two glazed micro dimples and a chip on posterior labral channel /extremity tip, visible in the central collage images.
