Note

One giant live-collected specimen of Fissurella maxima with natural (lightly cleaned) dorsum (can be cleaned with some patience) but some chips in the border as can be seen in the images. This one is a very huge specimen, with a very thick shell (which is normal for northern Chilean specimens) and it looks huge at hand. This is the largest specimen which I have obtained from northern Chile, and it is currently very very difficult to obtain giant specimens like this, as this species is heavily exploited. I will include a normal-sized specimen for the purchase of this one. Note: similar-sized specimens (but in better quality with no chips) have been auctioned by over 250 usd.
