From my personal collection. (GEM-)(GEM) Superb couple of specimens, jeaniana jeaniana and jeaniana praeclara, with perfect extremities and very richly spotted dorsums. The jeaniana jeaniana has only a very small silt pimple near the anterior end, really negligeable, the jeaniana praeclara is a perfect specimen. jeaniana jeaniana is ROV collected from a Geodia sponge in 90 m of water off White Cliffs in the northern section of the Zuytdorp Cliffs. jeaniana praeclara is ROV collected in 84 m of water in Big Bank in the southern section of the Zuytdorp Cliffs. jeaniana jeaniana is an heavy slender mature shell with dark chocolate dorsum and a very nice red brown base. jeaniana praeclara has a nice very dark dorsum intensely spotted and a nice very dark brown base. Superb margins are blue and apricot as typical in praeclara as well as very slender shape and flat dorsal profile. These two specimens are proposed together to highlight two populations living at the same depths and in areas relatively not too far away but completely different in terms of characteristics. ALL WHITE REFLECTIONS AND DULL AREAS ARE FROM THE CAMERA LIGHTING.
