I brought back these small bernardi from my last trip to Nuku Hiva in the spring 2025. They were sitting (valves glued) in a jar with a bunch of other small local shells collected by the son of the B&B owner where we stayed in Taiohae. He told me they showed up among rubble and grits in lobster pots set at 8-18 mt off the south coast of Nuku Hiva. F++. They may be cleaned a bit further. I am not a Pecten expert but have been told that this species is not an easy to be seen: for Pectinidae specialists.
