| Note | On this auction are some Zoila from my personal collection, not stock shells. This is the largest rosselli I was ever able to obtain, a monster at 64.4mm. From a very old collection, with spots shining through the base. Despite the fact that it's old it's still quite dark. The callosity and flanging are impressive and it displays a classic window. There is microscopic roughness in the anterior canal, which can be felt but isn't easy to see. Doesn't impact the visuals of the exterior. The posterior has a very very shallow sliver of a chip which might have been smoothed, nothing can be felt but it is there if inspected closely. Columella side. Terrific shell, from a dangerous area often avoided these days due to sharks. |
