LOTTIIDAE - Lottia stanfordiana (Berry, 1957). UNUSUAL EXTRA DENSE MULTIPLE TENTS SPOTS PATTERN WOOOOW!! The Brown and Green color is almost absent for this extremely and absolutely fully white tents-spots pattern color. Delightful and exquisite unique unusual top pattern for the species. A jewel and a dream for aesthetic collectors. The ventral side presents a glossy dark brown-green large spot in the middle, around the bluish elegant color, making an amazing effect. The best of the best for the species, hard, difficult and dangerous to get them between strong currents and big waves. This has a Marvelous patterns for connoisseurs of this Family, so hard to get this high level conditions, color and pattern. F+++. Apparently feeding on the marine soup that comes and goes with the currents, waves and seaweeds, this species lives where the waves break and in the intertidal zone. Really hard to remove from stones without braking them. Found attached to the rocks with green and brown algae at extremely low tide. Near Playa Arroyo Seco, Jalisco, Mexico. June 2025.
