| Note | EXTREMELY RARE SPECIES WITH THICK COLOSSAL LIP!! This species is almost impossible to find active during the day. They seem to be nocturnal and are always attached to stones that are deeply buried, up to 40cm below the sand between buried platforms or stones. This makes them very difficult to find, hence their rarity. Super wide-thick White extended wing-lip with so massive thickness, so elegant and amazing. Stunning structure with beautiful spiny spire. One of most rare species of all tiny Pterotyphis in my region. Superb radial ribs banding with brown colors, top apex and spire, JEWEL!! Impeccable shell except for the erosion on dorsum as you can see, not really detracting the beauty and the wonderful rarity. For advancer collectors. Hard to get nowadays in any conditions and with seldom seen original operculum. Found attached in deep buried stones. Between 4-5m deep. Cuastecomates, Jalisco, Mexico. May 2025.
